Contact Daniel Groves
Mr. Groves graduated from the University of Detroit-Mercy in 2005 with a degree in Philosophy/ Pre-Law. He was a member of the Alpha Sigma Nu Jesuit Honor’s Society, Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Program and graduated Summa Cum Laude. Dan earned his Juris Doctor from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2009. His areas of legal concentration are in litigation, personal injury, family law, criminal prosecution/defense, commercial insurance defense and commercial breach of contract. Prior to obtaining his degrees, Dan served six years in the United States Marine Corps and was awarded an Honorable Discharge.
Before practicing as a civil law attorney, Dan spent nearly two years with the Wayne County Prosecutor’s office in the juvenile justice division, elderly abuse & embezzlement and with the arson unit. Since then, he has worked in personal injury (both as Plaintiff and Defense counsel) and Michigan No-Fault Law for eight years. Believing that our future’s most important asset is our children, Daniel volunteered for the Wayne County Court Appointed Special Advocate’s Program (CASA) for displaced children, foster kids and on behalf of abused & neglected children. He has been a Red Cross blood donor for over three decades.
When it comes to the law, Dan is an aggressive litigator, but is also very personable, open, communicative and has a lively sense of humor. He is happily married to a fellow attorney at the Bashore-Green Law Group, Moira Ogedegbe-Groves, as they continue to raise their children, including a newborn son as of November 2018! He enjoys time with his children, watching and attending NFL football games, is a huge New Orleans Saints and Elvis Presley fan, a long-time Batman collector & aficionado and is a chess player who is always welcoming of new challenges.
Mr. Groves is licensed to practice law in the State of Michigan and in the Federal Eastern District Court for Michigan.
