“Re-Opening” Resources Are Available To Counties

|

Earlier this week, Governor Whitmer announced that Michigan will move to Phase 4 of the MI Safe Start plan with retailers being allowed to open today and restaurants Monday, with both being subject to capacity limits. Furthermore, office work that is not capable of being performed remotely along with in-home services, including housecleaning services, can resume.

Local businesses should contact their local municipality or county office to see if there are reopening guidelines or requirements in place. For example, many counties have developed and created Re-Opening Toolkits for their businesses. Sign up for an Oakland County toolkit here. Wayne County has reopening resources available at this link and Macomb County has resources at this link.

Also under the executive order, outdoor gatherings of 100 or fewer people may resume effective immediately and drive-in movie theaters are permitted to operate. Outdoor fitness classes, athletic practices, training sessions, or games are now permitted, subject to certain safety protocols.  Indoor gatherings remain limited to 10 or fewer people.

There are bound to be questions that business owners, entrepreneurs, and even c-suite executives have about how you should manage the opening process. The team of business attorneys at Bashore Green is happy to help. We’re offering a free 15-minute consultation for any of these business owners who have questions or are looking for further guidance during these uncertain times.
